Back to life

Back to reality (please tell me you are now hearing soul II soul playing in your head).  Well, what a complete and total blessing to have my mother here while I was sick.  She cooked, she cleaned, she played with Bronson (all day), and she was her usual awesome self.  Here I am in my thirties and I still need my mom.  Please tell me I am not the only one.  There's nothing like my mom's cooking to comfort me.  There's nothing like my  mom's presence to help me get my priorities in order.  There's nothing like my mom's hug, with an extra squeeze, and her telling me everything will be okay.  There is nothing like my mom.  What I most appreciate about her, is that without even knowing it she is still teaching me how to be a better wife, a better mother, a kinder person, and how to slow down to enjoy life...in all it's stages.  Thank you mom for dropping everything, to come take care of me and my family.  I love you. I miss you.  And thank you for being the original ambassador of sunshine & cheer!

And now to kick off your weekend, Soul II Soul.  Have a great one amigos!

  1. I can't get enough of that photo!! so awesome!! so excited to see you next Friday!!!!!

    1. We were at Cafe Chloe, at the exact same table where I snapped the pic of Bronson of Ro' kissing.

  2. Bianca,
I'm so happy to hear you are feeling better! I'm sure your mom cried when she read this beautiful post. She sounds amazing and I love the part where you said she's the original ambassador of sunshine & cheer. That's what moms do...we tell our babies that everything will be alright. Have a lovely weekend!

  3. Your mom used to live down the street from us. We will never forget the most delicious tamales she brought over after we just had our baby. I enjoyed bumping into her for quick chats. She is so nice. We miss having them as neighbors. Great pic.

  4. Totally hearing Soul II Soul...as a matter of fact, I think I'll be hearing this in my head all day today...Thanks Bianca!

We all need our moms. I talk to mine every day. xo

Love your post on Escondido, too. Growing up in Del Mar, I've always sort of had that 'urghhh Escondido' whenever I heard someone talking about that place, but your photos and commentary are great and I think it just might be worth another look, of course, before it gets too hot. It get's really hot in Escondido.
