wild flowers + pies

There are a few fields by me that are littered with wildflowers.  Their colors are magnificent, bright bursts of oranges and yellows.  I pulled over the side of the road and cut a few for the house.  I love how they brighten up our home, and even though I captured them for my own selfish enjoyment they still have a sense of "wild" about them.
Sunday was pie day at 42nd and Orange, and what a beautiful day it turned out to be.  I should have snapped another pic before I left (I was the first person there) because the table was filled with scrumptious looking pies.
I enjoyed a slice of this beautiful and delicious strawberry rhubarb pie--it was my first time ever having strawberry rhubarb.  Don't judge.
My kind of math.
After pie and gabbing with the gals of 42nd and Orange we headed to the park to get all our sugar wiggles out before nap time.

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.  Cheers to a fantastic week!

  1. Having you and Bronson as the first to Pie Day was the best start to a pretty awesome day! We captured lots of good shots throughout the day, http://touch.facebook.com/?w2m#/photos.php?aid=38667&id=103617893010058

  3. Looks like you had way more fun this weekend than I did cleaning my house, basement and garage...Wa wa. We grow rhubarb at our house, wish I could send you pie in the mail:) Although you didn't mention if you actually liked your first taste of strawberry rhubarb.
