This weekend the hubs finally got around to hanging one of my all time favorite finds, that mirror. I am really happy with where we decided to hang it, and how welcoming our entryway is beginning to look--now if I can just find someone to upholster the chair without charging me an arm and a leg. (Know anyone in San Diego?)
I found a few weathered metal baskets and a crate at very random estate sale this past weekend. I think I will use the crate to collect shoes that usually litter the entry way. Now I just need to find some hooks so we can hang our coats and bags as soon as we enter. Roman wants these, but I am not so sure he saw the price. Actually I know he didn't. Suggestions on where we might find something similar at a fraction of the price?

I'm new to your blog. :) Your entry looks so cute and inviting! We actually use a similar system for collecting shoes in the entryway--old swimming locker metal crates I found on eBay a few years ago. It works really well...

ReplyDeleteI love, love, love the baskets...ask Alexis about her upholstery guy :)
ReplyDeleteI'm new here, too!
ReplyDeleteWe've used Century Upholstery in La Mesa a few times and friends have used them, too. They do a good job, are quick and very honest and reliable. Also affordable :)
1.) Love the baskets 2.) Where do you find the estate sales to go to. newspaper? I really am itching to go search for gems :)
ReplyDelete3.) My entry looks strikingly similar, minus the chair and mirror. We could very well be neighbors living in a shea homes? weird.
Bianca, that mirror is fantastic. And I love the chair beneath it -- it'll look great with that fabric. As for resources, I lack those not having been here in San Diego that long, but I'll ask around.
